Transformers X Back to the Future Gigawatt Is Out of Time And Sold Out

If you blinked this morning you missed a couple of limited edition offerings from Hasbro Pulse. Both Gigawatt and the Deluxe Cad Bane both sold out under the first hour of sales and pre sales for each. Gigawatt was a to be a much wider release of the toy that sold out in seconds earlier this year as a limited version and we were calmed to have a wider release later. That later is now and it is also gone on Hasbro Pulse. Other retailers do have limited stock and not sure how long that will last.

At this point someone in Hasbro really needs to look at their numbers better. Release after release they can not keep up with demand and the “Make to Order” model still has not really got into to their sales MO with the exception of HasLab projects and the Regal Cobra Commander variant. I hope they do a third wave of this figure or at least another reissue down the line– there are still many fans waiting for a ride out there.

Update Walmart, Amazon, and Target just put up pre order links

Notes about the new version– this has the tinted windows that was a very big gripe from the limited version that people did not like at all. So was that part of the plan from the the start, or did they listened to the fans on it? I love this Transformer and the Ectotron crossover we got as well. You really can’t make enough of these for my taste. Here are some side by sides to get a better look at the slight changes.
