By the time you see “your town here” Monopoly at Walmart, you would have to assume that everything was already made. I already have multiple Star Wars Monopoly boards, Lord Of The Rings , G.I. Joe, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, you get the idea. Somehow we don’t yet have a Godzilla Monopoly.
For Godzilla, well, I am fine with owning another board game I will never play. This doesn’t look bad– the figures sell me on the game right away. The artwork on the board is a little cheap and low brow. I’m sure any Godzilla fan would question why Monopoly makers wouldn’t just use art from the original films. Hell, the bigger question– how did TOHO’s licensing department. I’d never approve that, but hey, we all remember Playmates Shin Godzilla, right?
If i ever get around to playing this, I already claim Mechagodzilla.
This game has great names for all of the conversions ending with Monster island as Park Place but shouldn’t that be Jail? I will get one to fill more space in Game Closet Number Four (Everyone has four game closets, right?)
