Be still my money, for my wallet cannot take all of these good times thrown in its direction.

Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender (IE, most people) were treated to the fairly recent announcement this past June that McFarlane Toys, holder of all licenses, had ATLA toys on the way. And with that announcements, which was indeed good news, came the choked sob of lament from all of the fans (IE, me) who had spent so much time and money searching for Diamond Select Toys’ Avatar lineup. Because McFarlane’s look a billion times better. I personally didn’t have a reaction when QmX announced its ATLA Q-Figs because they’re so stylized. I thought it was charming when Mego revealed its Aang figure, in its rubber banded soft toy glory. I didn’t even have many thoughts when The Loyal Subject announced an Avatar Aang in its BSTAXN line. But with this crescendo of magic that is the announcement of McFarlane’s ATLA lineup, my money and shelf space are leaving me once more for a place in the great beyond. Great beyond my ability to control my collecting and acquisition of cool things, that is…

Avatar: The Last Airbender Prince Zuko Figure – $19.99 – October 2021

An incredibly focused teenage Firebender, Zuko bullies and intimidates everyone around him. Prince Zuko is the oldest son of Fire Lord Ozai, ruler of the Fire Nation, and the great-grandson of Fire Lord Sozin, who conceived the war. At the age of 14 Prince Zuko spoke out against his father and the Fire Nation’s conquest. To teach his insubordinate son a lesson, Fire Lord Ozai forced his son to fight him in a traditional Firebender duel.

After the Fire Lord defeated his son in front of his royal army, he stripped the Prince of his birthright to the throne and banished him from his homeland, telling him he could only return with the Avatar, dead or alive. Finding the Avatar became Prince Zuko’s obsession.

Zuko is featured in his traditional young Fire Nation Army attire and designed with Ultra Articulation for a full range of posing. A fireball and two fire daggers are also included, making this a perfect addition to any collection.
