Hot Wheels x NASA Reveals Mars Perseverance Rover Die-Cast Vehicle

Hot Wheels is helping NASA kick off another historic year of space exploration with the release of the new Hot Wheels Mars Perseverance Rover die-cast vehicle.

The new die-cast, part of Hot Wheels first space themed mini-collection in over 20 years, is a detailed 1:64 scale replica model inspired by NASA’s real Mars Perseverance Rover, which is expected to make its much anticipated landing on Mars Thursday, February 18th.

Hot Wheels and NASA have had a longstanding relationship of 30+ years starting in the 1980s.
The first JPL project was in 1996 for the Sojourner Mars Rover in Action Packs – there were 5 Action Packs from 1997-1999 with JPL or NASA theme.

The Space mini-collection was brought back in 2021 due to the increased interest from kids and the general public regarding Space Exploration. The Rover was an obvious fit, and we also knew that it would be touching down on Mars around February of 2021.
