Hasbro has been the official license holder of Power Rangers for a few years now, and yet, fans have been (patiently and not so patiently) waiting for the arrival of the Megazord. A few weeks back, we received notice that the Build a Figure Mighty Morphin’ Megazord (with actual transforming Zords) was on its way. Sure, fans were given the current season Megazord (from Beast Morphers), a huge Wild Force Playset, and a very nicely stylized Mega Mighty MMPR Megazord.
And yet, with the Power Rangers Lightning Collection continuing to ramp up, fans wondered where more Megazords were. At last, the Zeo Megazord (which Hasbro is touting as a more premium line of Megazord) is finally available for preorder.
Me personally, I don’t care if the robot doesn’t transform. Sure, many fans do, but I don’t. I’m just in it for the battling robot. But clearly, this is no Soul of Chogokin. It’s not even Transformers Masterpiece. This looks like a $50 Megazord being sold at a 30% markup. I want to be optimistic for this piece, and I think it’s cool that Hasbro is venturing into nicer Megazords and away from the safety of Mighty Morphin’. Zeo is a very good choice and I’d love to see other Megazords in this scale done in this fashion. That Hasbro gold/yellow on the chest piece and shoulders kills me though. It doesn’t photograph well, so I am very hopeful that this toy dazzles fans in person. If something is going to be a chunky toy, sell it for chunky toy prices. But as Hasbro very clearly showed us with the Legacy Green Ranger Dragon Dagger, 18+ and a $60 price tag does not a collectible make.

According to BBTS customer service. The item was delisted temporarily and that generally occurs when there Product Team needs to confirm something or update some information from the manufacture. The listing in these events usually will go back up within several business days.
We figured they jumped the gun on listing considering no one else has it yet. 🙂
My understanding is, if someone did placed it before it being delisted temporarily. There pre-order is still good.
The link just went back up on BBTS, but is still a pre order. It just became available and in-stock at Entertainment Earth today.
