Hasbro Opens Preorders for Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Build-a-Figure Megazord

As a lover of robots (and an avid Megazord collector) I have only one thing to say about Hasbro’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Build-a-Megazord reveal and live preorders.

It’s about freakin’ time!

Power Rangers fans first learned that there was an MMPR Megazord on the way back during NY Toy Fair 2020, at the same time that the upcoming Zeo Megazord was revealed. We were not initially sure of the quality of it, whether it would be comparable to the Transformers Masterpiece line (it definitely isn’t Soul of Chogokin). One would be premium, one would be a kid’s toy, and truthfully, they more or less looked exactly the same.

So, what do we have here? Three packages, each retailing for $15.99, with 1-2 pieces of the Megazord. You can either keep them in alt mode, or build them up into Megazord Sequence, and viola, we have a giant robot. For about $50 after tax, we will have a robot (likely around the 12 inch scale) that doesn’t look any worse than the vintage MMPR Megazord by Bandai, which was probably $30-$50 in 90s money. I’m very excited to see Hasbro’s flagship launch into Megazords. I still want six inch Lightning Collection Megazords too and yes, I will purchase the same robots over and over and over again.
