Snake Mountain And Unicron Give Gigantic updates To Their Gigantic Toys

Advertisements

Hasbro’s Unicron and Super7’s Snake Mountain: They are two of the largest modern toys currently in production. And today, both companies are giving us updates on where they are in the process.  Hasbro and Super7 basically gave us proof of life photos. These are just to remind us that we paid for batshit crazy huge toys and they are working on them for us.

The Super7 photos are of the preproduction sample sent for final manufacturing, as well as some of the cardboard mock up in the city for some better scale shots. Hasbro shows the test shot in full scale and multiple colors– this is whatever is in the machines when they want to shoot a sample. That is why they are called test shots. Final details can be changed in this process, so don’t get too attached. It does show the tremendous amount of detail and engineering on this Robot God.

T1 sample, standing at 27 inches tall when on his stand.

This is the output model seen at SDCC. In planet mode at 33 inches tall and 37 inches wide including his ring. Without the ring he’s 20 inches wide.

The gigantic box 26” x 26” x 26” on top of that is a shipping box your carrier is going to kill you and his back.

Snake Mountain

Snake Mountain has a preproduction sample here with Super7’s Brian Flynn for scale. This is amazingly huge 36 inches tall and 48 inches wide opened. They even shared some photos of the scale cut out for immersive real world views. The good thing about Snake Mountain is that its still available at BBTS since they over-ordered.  Knowing those fans that didn’t preorder and waiting till the last minute– well, that is now! This is the last minute. They have a release date of June, but with the delays that might be July or August. Once they land, expect the price to double on the secondary market despite fans whining about the preorder retail price was too high.
