Toy Wizards Review: Threezero Transformers Bumblebee Movie: Optimus Prime DXL Figure

Threezero makes amazing robots. I have been a fan of their products for some time now. ThreeA the former collaboration with Ashley Wood Made some amazing stuff from WWR to Real Steel. Now they are back to basics making amazing detailed robots and figures. To that point we have got the third Transformer in the Bumblebee movie series. Bumblebee , Blitzwing, and Optimus Prime. Some people have issues with Transformers not transforming I personally will always go with the more detailed robot forms every time.

Optimus Prime

These figures are incredibly detailed and paint apps to die for. Threezero goes the full mile to have an insane amount of detail on their figures. This Optimus Prime is the full mile and more so. It is the best looking Optimus Prime figure I have ever seen. I really like the new movie design for Prime and this does every bit and screw justice. Beyond the levels of detail layered on top of each other over and over again. The articulation is very high on these. There is a unusual amount of hidden joints and parts that extend and fold to move around. This gives you unpaired amounts of poses you can do. The legs balance the entire figure on one foot several times when done right. Optimus Prime makes a imposing figure on his own just standing but you can do so much more and everything looks great. I did a lot of photos lets take a look at them.

Bumblebee

I also have the other figures in the line here is Bumblebee. This was the main Transformer of the movie and the figure really is the best of the three. This figure is the perfect scale and size for the astounding amount of articulation involved. The design of BB is so nice and the figure really brings all of those points. I have had the most fun with BB and the details are as normal with Threezero beyond anything else you buy. I really have a problem not just starting at BB on my desk I had to move him to a different spot or no work would get done.

Blitzwing

Blitzwing was the second figure released but he was the guy that got me to buy them all. I got a first look at Blitzwing at TF con in Burbank last year. One of the points that made me decide was the paint applications where what I would do. If I was to paint Blitzwing that is what I would paint and they did it. Now beyond that they are hyper articulated figures with multiple hands and choices. Nothing is wrong on these figures it is pure robot elegance. Blitzwing stands almost as tall as Prime making the seeker a very full sized robot. He is a little less posable due to the wings and type of body it has. Nonetheless it is superb and a figure of greatness you want on your shelf. Interesting tidbit the voice of Blitzwing is David Sobolov also voicing Gorilla Grodd on The Flash.
