We all knew that Diamond Select Toys’ The Black Hole figures were on their way. But what we didn’t know that the first place we were going to see packaging images would be on eBay. As we all know, Disney is very protective of its IPs, which is why these sort of toys/action figures usually just arrive at Disney Stores and that’s when we get our first look.

The two figures that we’re able to see are V.I.N.C.ENT & B.O.B and Maximilian. I’m sure I’m not the first to say this, but there’s comedy in the fact that The Black Hole was Disney’s answer to Star Wars, and now they own Star Wars. However, along with other “I forgot that was Disney” movie franchises (looking at you Return to Oz), it’s amazing that now fans have a chance to own toys (ROBOTS NONE THE LESS!) from this somewhat obscure cult classic. The packaging is super 80s, which I’m not quite sure hits the nails on the head, because it still strikes that TRON chord, but I do like the 80s style Select font in the upper left corner.
