FRIENDS and Central Perk come to LEGO

In the 90s there was Friends and it was wonderful. Funny thing about this, the author has been re-watching the show in the background for a couple of weeks, so as this came up, I jumped at the chance to cover the set. Part of the LEGO IDEAS  sets this will be a limited production one time deal buy it or done it will disappear. This being a very niche set I am amazed it got through; I can’t see a lot of 12 year olds wanting to watch that old show in LEGO form but us 30-40 years are chomping at the bit.

My first concern is will the LEGO style minifigures give me the utmost amount of Ross looking Ross like. Would that figure dipect the amount of pure unadulterated mopiness of a man that lost his monkey? Here is the answer.

Yes, yes it did and they knocked it out of the park on each figure in this set (even Gunther) and that was kinda a ‘hey let’s give them one more figure’ guy and they nailed it. The set itself is neat and can fit in your city playlets or just as a stand alone. I can see making sound stages and having Friends next door to Big Bang Theory but hey, that is just me. Lots of parts people and not a bad price. Two LEGO hands up as they don’t have thumbs.
