NECA Toys Shows Off ‘The Capture of Splinter’ San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Set

The world’s saddest movie scene is becoming one of NECA Toys’ most killer awesome playsets.

From the 1990 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, NECA Toys has recreated the torture scene from when Shredder and his foot soldiers capture Master Splinter. I hope that fence comes with it, too!

This four pack will have an MSRP of $125, which is pretty affordable for all you’re getting. Remember, those Cartoon Turtle packs were $50 a piece and there were four of them. I love that these are also 7 inch tall figures, which many action figure collectors revere as a pretty happy middle ground (Unless you’re a 3.75 or 6 inch purist).

We will report back if new information comes up about these toys, or if preorder opportunities in spite of them being SDCC exclusives arise.

To keep up with tradition, we are happy to announce our first #SDCC 2019 Exclusive, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 Movie) – 7” Scale Action Figure – “The Capture of Splinter” 4-Pack!

After wading in a puddle of radioactive waste, four ordinary reptiles become more than just turtles, and are raised by the similarly transformed rat Splinter to become New York City’s greatest crime-fighting quartet. Their biggest enemy—and Splinter’s nemesis—is The Shredder, ruthless leader of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization that’s terrorizing the city. Yet is only after Splinter is captured by the Foot that the Turtles learn how far back his feud with Shredder goes…

This epic box set recreates the “Capture of Splinter” scene from the 1990 movie in 7” scale, all the way down to the in-box positioning! The set includes Splinter (with cloth robe), Shredder (with cloth cape), and two Foot soldiers, plus plenty of extras: manacles, a cardstock crate, and a weapons rack for storing all the Foot clan accessories.Slipcase over window box packaging.Retail: $125
