Toy Fair showcased student work from toy design programs, and the prototypes looked fantastic! I was struck by the range of styles on display, many of which I would happily buy if mass produced. Now let’s get these folks jobs!

If the names of each’s designer were available, I apologize for missing them. I’d recommend putting them next to the individual pieces in the future to get these hard-working designers some credit. They deserve it. This is great work!

Whenever I hear people say things that declare toys prematurely “dead,” I think of all the people in programs like these making the next generation of toys. I also think about the numbers, which show the toy industry is anything BUT gone. In fact, in many areas, it’s expanding!
