An incredible event happened for Tron fans. This week we got to attend a special screening of TRON at the Academy theater. This was the world premiere of an 8K restoration and color correction of TRON in Dolby Vision with Atmos audio.

I’ve always been a huge TRON fan, but seeing it on the big screen like this was on another level. The newly restored 8K version, presented in Dolby Vision with Atmos sound, was the ultimate experience. It wasn’t just a screening, it was like stepping into a technicolor wonderland of sight and sound.
There has simply never been a better version of TRON than this one. Watching it at the David Geffen Theater one of the best theaters in the world elevated it even further. No matter how many times you’ve seen TRON, you’ve never seen it like this. This was the definitive version, and it was absolutely mind-blowing.
To top it all off, I was seated right in front of TRON director Steven Lisberger himself and I overheard him say, “It’s never looked better.” He made the film, and even he thought this was the best it’s ever been. That says it all.
