First-ever double-sided deck features next level penalty cards for more competitive play!
It’s like the joke continues to be on me.
You know what I feel like UNO, the number one game in America, is becoming in popular culture? You know how in Japan there’s a ton of different flavored Kit Kats, and here we have uniquely flavored Oreo cookies and Lays potato chips? I feel like that’s where Mattel is heading with UNO.
Recently, our own Toy Wizard, Scott, visited Japan and to mess with me, he sent me this picture:
Less obnoxious that all of the versions of Monopoly out there, but less delicious than potato chips, there is an UNO deck to suit your every mood. But really, that Moomins deck needs to be mine. From UNO to DOS, and onto UNO Flip!, we really are headed toward a world of insanity. Perhaps our prediction of an UNO movie for Mattel isn’t as ridiculous as it seems.
But really, even UNO is in on the joke. The new UNO Flip site is adorably self aware and is flipped and reversed to show you this is candy and we’re having fun.

UNO®, the world’s number one card game*, introduces its most competitive version ever – UNO FLIP!™. The game follows the classic UNO game’s premise of matching numbers and colors, but now features double-sided cards that when prompted by a “Flip” card, changes the entire game.
The double-sided UNO FLIP! deck features both a Light and a Dark side. The Light side plays like classic UNO, but the Dark side has never before seen penalty cards, including the first ever DRAW 5 card.
