Joey here and today’s topic is Disneyland Magicband +. There is also Magicband+ for Walt Disney World but for this article we are going to talk about Disneyland and what the magicband+ does.

Firstly, you can use a magicband+ for admittance to the parks, you load them with whatever admission you have for the day, through the Disneyland app on your phone. You can load it a single day, or your magic key and when you get to the gate you just do a small tap and if you have a reservation for the day, you will be admitted to the selected park, they also work with park hopping as well.

The coolest feature that I think is that the magicband+ interacts with the attractions.

These are a few of the interactions I have had

-Haunted Mansion: When you exit you feel the heartbeat of the Bride, Constance Hatchaway, complete with a red light and vibrations
-Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: In the queue area the band flashes rainbow colors.
-Web Slingers A Spider-Man adventure: It flashes red and blue
-Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout: It flashes purple and white.
Also, the magicbands+ do interact with nightly spectaculars like Wonderous Journey (Disneyland) and World of Color One (DCA) as well as Fantasmic.
In Star Wars Galaxy Edge The magicband+ is your way to become a bounty hunter, when used with the Play Disney App, you can become a bounty hunter and hunt down bounties while joining the mysterious “Guild.”

With all these interactions and the many designs, magicband+ is a wonderful way to increase the magic at the Disneyland Resort.
