The rumour mill has been in overdrive with information about the whereabouts of a crack commando unit that is both famous and notorious for its unconventional missions, which it has been called upon to carry out around the world since 1972. Following weeks of speculation, manufacturer PLAYMOBIL can now excitedly confirm with a teaser trailer on its own social media channels that it is indeed launching the legendary A-Team Van under article number 70750 in October 2021, based on the 2010 20^th Century Studios title: The A-Team.

Produced for television from 1983 to 1987, and turned into a full-length feature film in 2010, the action series of the same name about the legendary A-Team still enjoys true cult status today. Key to the success of the legendary unit led by Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith is the exciting mix of their unconventional and varied characters, as well as the bravery and pioneering spirit which the members of the world’s most famous crack commando unit constantly demonstrate with their spectacular, action-packed missions aimed at coming to the rescue of those who have nowhere else to turn for help. Apart from the fact that the A-Team’s missions still have hordes of ardent fans, the quirky humour of the cult franchise continues to influence popular culture today – not just Hannibal’s catchphrase “I love it when a plan comes together”, but also the legendary wars of words between Sergeant B.A. Baracus, who is plagued by a fear of flying, and helicopter pilot “Howling Mad” Murdock have long since moved beyond the bounds of the screen.
