Pride is on its way in June, and companies will now begin the roll out of merchandise to partner up, be an ally, and let you know they are on our side. As someone who identifies as queer, this sentiment is very much appreciated. It does get better, it gets less confusing, and man– are these colors bright and wonderful or what! UNO & the It Gets Better Project (IGB), a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting, empowering and connecting to the LGBTQ+ community globally, are excited to reveal their partnership to create a brand-new deck called UNO Play with Pride!
We all know UNO’s mission is to bring people together, and through the UNO Play with Pride deck, the brand is celebrating inclusivity with the LGBTQ+ community with this Pride edition of UNO. Additionally, Mattel has donated $50,000 to the It Gets Better Project in support of their initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ youth and will be a partner of the It Gets Better Project digital pride festival in late June. The festival will bring together the organization and the general public to participate in virtual conversations with trailblazers in the LGBTQ+ community as they discuss important topics in the community over a game of UNO Play with Pride.
UNO Play with Pride is available to purchase exclusively at Target.com and Target retailers nationwide, to champion diversity in the toy aisle and bring this celebratory, inclusive deck to the masses.
