It’s time to get premium dude…premium! Because Bandai is busting out two more Sailor Moon characters from the high end FiguartsZERO statue line. Truthfully, all Figuarts are premium– those price tags are hefty. The more S.H. Figuarts action figures I see, the more I prefer getting the posing nonsense out of the way and enjoying statues like the FiguartsZERO line. All of the thinking is out of the way, and those swirling effects at the girls’ feet really do it for me. I love the life and consideration and moving fabric. With Sailor Mercury, it really looks like the viewer (us) stepped into a scene where she’s conjuring her magic to use on an enemy that perhaps she once knew long ago.
Mars on the other hand is much more expensive and she’s making that open mouth barking puppy face. Plus, in my opinion, her hair looks flat in this statue. I love both Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars, but the Mars would be a hard pass for me– I have $200 toys and believe me, they’re far more striking that that. What are your thoughts, Moonies?
