Today via Twitter, Playmates Toys is teasing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles boxset with the simple words: “Sneak Peek, Turtle Fans! What could possibly be in there?! Coming soon to a Target near you!”
My eyes are old and junky, but I can see from the text on the box that this set contains six TMNT figures from the 1990 movie. I remember an interesting line that Playmates released in the mid-90s that was this sort of halfway point between the animated turtles and the movie turtles. The face was dead on and I would love to see Playmates take another crack at the movie toys with that great, blocky, chunky Playmates Turtle body. We will release a date and price point once we have it, but in the meantime, this teaser is wonderful.
