Diamond Select Reveals New Wave of Avatar: The Last Airbender Figures

Avatar state, yip yip!

Diamond Select Toys is adding to its Avatar: The Last Airbender lineup, and to me, this is a very, very good thing. As with many things in the toy collecting world, there is some strangeness on the availability of Diamond Select Action figures. I don’t frequent comic book shops, so I am not sure what the shelves look like there. For me, I see Diamond toys on shelves at Walgreens primarily. And the truth is, I buy them. Toy Wizards announced wave one of ATLA action figures back in the beginning of 2019– I didn’t see wave one on the shelves until about a month ago. I purchased all that I could find (Avatar state Aang, Zuko, and regular Aang) and I am still missing Katara.

Buying these toys on the shelves at Walgreens is significantly cheaper (like $10 less per figure) than online retailers, which is why I will continue to wait a little longer to see if more characters show up. I really want dopey faced Aang and Azula. Toph and Ozai come in a wave, and now we’re seeing Final Form Aang alongside Sokka.
