Transformers The Movie for many of us is the highlight of 1986. The theatrical release of Transformers was an amazing moment of delight and awe. Beyond the amazing animation and rockin’ soundtrack we had a great story that changed our favorite characters going forward in the Transformers universe.

Today, Hasbro and Takara Tomy have announced a new line of Studio Series action figures. I have to tell you this is the best Transformers line I have seen in a while. They are really well done from all points– Scourge is so good he’s killing me. The boxes look great– seriously, that art work is just amazing. The toys are on point and have several movie centric features they really show someone was watching the movie and noted some really specific and deep dive details. I have not bought a entire line of Transformers in a long time, not since Beast Wars. This has me all in.

Note about release dates on the wave. They have a couple of release dates– some have February and others have April. Hasbro is making sure it has parts of the waves constantly coming in at all times to keep us broke.
