In August, Hasbro and Jazwares will bring the iconic toy franchise that many Gen Xers still dream about, Micro Machines, back to toy shelves. While it is not a surprise that the classic Galoob toy is making its return to shelves (Toy Wizards broke the news in June 2019 because we’re just that awesome), fans of the miniature car line are finally being treated to open preorders and new images of the upcoming toys and playsets.
Remember the awesome ones we saw at Toy Fair 2020? I know, it feels like a million years ago now.
And just saying, if Hasbro wants to bring back John Moschitta Jr., fast talker and national Micro Machines treasure, we’re cool with that.
Micro Machines are even popping up in the wild!
As vintage toy lovers, Toy Wizards would love to do a side by side comparison of classic versus new Micro Machines. They’re a great toy and have always been different from Hot Wheels (which are also amazing). I think there is a lot of room for Hasbro licensing and crossover now that these toys are back on the shelves. We will post more about the resurgence and evolution as products are announced and become available!
