Hasbro revealed the much anticipated Retro G.I. Joe toy line. And I’ve got to say… it wasn’t exactly what we expected. As part of the fandom, when we hear the word ‘retro’, our minds immediately go to that 3.75 inch scale figures. Even the boxes say 3.75 figures but what we have are the modern 4 inch figures. These are nearly Ultimate versions– the toys come with many extra weapons and accessories, but the feel is on the older 25th anniversary figures Hasbro released.
The biggest issue people are remarking on is that Hasbro showed fans the commando version Snake Eyes, but give us the version two visor Snake Eyes. They do look nice and hey, any G.I. Joe collector is happy to have all this attention after so many years of neglect. Being a Walmart exclusive, they are already sold out but some stock does keep appearing at random. The H.I.S.S. Tank (for now) is continuously in stock– someone was smart enough to make a bunch of those. Snake Eyes is very gone but I will keep trying… even if they got the card wrong. #Snarkticle
