Toy Wizards Review: Power Rangers Die Cast Nano Metalfigs by Jada Toys

The Jada Toys Nano Metalfigs Power Rangers diecast Mini Figures 20 Pack is in stock and available on Amazon now for $25.99.

I typically can’t stand when people describe pop culture items (shows, movies, comic books, novels, toys, trends, etc) as a “nice little surprise that fell into our lap. I feel that it discounts the years of product development, research, artists’ efforts, licensing fees, legal work, and so on that go into making a thing successfully go vroom. So, with that sentiment…

Damn, these Power Rangers Nano Metalfigs by Jada Toys sure are the nice little surprise that fell into our lap!

Up until these figures randomly appeared for preorder on Amazon last month, I wasn’t even aware that Jada Toys had the Power Rangers license. I was aware of their world primarily in the die cast car world. Most notably, the Hollywood Rides line, where you can get a replica Ghostbusters Ecto-1 car or Transformers Optimus Prime (in truck/trailer mode) for about $7 or so. They’re great little items, perfectly painted die cast, and those prices are hard to beat.

So, upon research when I found that Jada Toys had done 4 inch Power Rangers figures, it was a cool tidbit to learn, but the figures weren’t my style. If you like them, you can order MMPR Red Ranger, or MMPR Green Ranger, or MMPR White Ranger. They cost somewhere around $17.99 and are in stock now.

But this new set of 20 Power Rangers Nano Metalfigs from Jada Toys are seriously cool. The set costs $25.99 and comes with the following characters:

  • Red Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Black ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Blue Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Pink Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Yellow Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Green Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • White Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  • Lord Drakkon (Mighty Morphin)
  • Green Ranger (Zeo)
  • Gold Ranger (Zeo)
  • Triassic Ranger (Dino Thunder)
  • Koragg (Mystic Force)
  • Wolf Warrior (Mystic Force)
  • Ninjor (Mighty Morphin)
  • Psycho Red (In Space)
  • Phantom Ranger (Turbo)
  • Rita (Mighty Morphin)
  • Goldar (Mighty Morphin)
  • Lord Zedd (Mighty Morphin)
  • Scorpina (Mighty Morphin)

For me personally, I don’t have figures of characters from many of these seasons, and I know a lot of collectors out there have MMPR fatigue. I’m not one of them, but I respect your collecting prerogative. These all stand 1.65 inches and the paint and details are amazing. If you’re not sure what to do with them, you could play with them, give them to a kid to play with, pose them on a shelf or in a cabinet, or use them as game pawns instead of…I dunno…a Monopoly hat or whatever. They are affordable enough to purchase for a kid that loves Power Rangers or an adult collector looking for something unique. I definitely think these are cool and they would benefit any Power Rangers collection.

I give the Power Rangers Nano Metalfig 20 pack by Jada Toys 4 out of 5 Morphing Grids. If there is a follow up set of all Megazords or if there were Megazords in this pack, it would have been an instant 5/5!
