Diamond pushed back the release date on its direct market Tron Figures to Spring 2020. This was fall 2019 and we only saw the mass market  exclusive versions at Walgreens in 2019. This set of the same three figures was to be noticeably different with a red Flynn disc effects and a Buildable recognizer was what we where told and charged for however. Email from BBTS states a new lower price $19.99 each same as Walgreens and no more build a recognizer parts.

This means the only real take away from the Walgreens versions and now the direct market versions is Infiltrator Flynn. Thats it we where waiting for months some people not buying them at Walgreens to wait for the Deluxe versions that will never come now. So if you need to get a full set get to Walgreens and buy them then buy the Red Flynn on the direct market. Now it still says Disc effects is extra I for one will still keep a set of these B versions because I buy everything Tron and I mean everything. The loss of the build a recognizer means a cut in sales for these figures. Many people only need Flynn now and the reason for me to buy 10 more sets is no longer there. Note the ability to only buy Red Flynn is now also gone from pre orders.

So the Difference in the Walgreens to Direct Market versions is only the added Effects discs. If the packaging has any changes we won’t know till later.

Each 7-inch scale action figure is based on the look of a character from the 1982 film – Tron, Sark and Infiltrator Flynn in his red infiltration disguise. Each features approximately 16 points of articulation and interchangeable disc accessories and effects.  Packaged in the display-ready Select action figure packaging, with side-panel artwork for shelf reference.
