Released just this Spring with an MSRP of nearly $2,000 is a 1:6 scale VF-1S cockpit from the Robotech/Macross series. This item was first shown off in 2017, opened for presales in 2018, and quietly slipped onto the market in very limited quantities between April-June of 2019. You can actually order it from BigBadToyStore, who seems to have a few in stock. If this is where you want your $2,000 to go, you really need to act fast, because these are going to blast off into the Zero-G Love before you know it.
How in the world did something this huge slip past our radar?!
What’s even more exciting in regard to this piece is that it’s not simply a (HUGE) piece of eye candy. It’s actually a digital audio system! Here are some of its specs:

If you managed to preorder it from the official website, they were giving away the VF-1S Valkyrie bust as a free gift. This bust on its own is so mighty that it has its own article written about it, which you can check out here to learn more.
A blue variant VF-1J version does seem to have been produced as well, but as of this writing, we are not able to find any outlets selling it. It was a super limited edition, 50 units sold in Hong Kong and 100 sold out of the country.
