NECA Toys shows off the final art packaging for their Mothra figure from the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters film. I love the art design of this packaging, and it makes me excited to see the film. I’m hopefully that because all of the baddies we’re seeing between the NECA and Jakks Pacific toys, that all of these wild monsters will really be in the film.

I would say that’s my one piece of constructive criticism, and my guess is that this trickles down from Legacy Pictures and their hierarchy of approvals in this case; the NECA packaging and Jakks Pacific packaging looks too much alike. I mean, clearly, once you see a NECA package you won’t mix the two items up. There’s no way that will happen; NECA are collectible figures and Jakks Pacific are children’s toys. Nice ones, at that, I like the Jakks Godzilla line. I’m just saying that someone up in the design approvals room says that this box art is the aesthetic for this new movie, no argument.
