Hasbro Launches ‘Hasbro Pulse’, a Site for Collectors (With a $50 Enrollment Fee for Premium Services)

Following the news that Hasbro shut down their online store, a new site aimed at collectors called Hasbro Pulse has risen from the ashes.

While Hasbro’s original website Shop Hasbro is truly alive, well, and catering to their typical assortment of preschool toys, ‘girl’s toys’, and games, Hasbro Pulse offers a limited number of franchises with a higher price tag. With a $50 enrollment fee to use the site, Hasbro Pulse follows a business model and site aesthetic that seems to be geared toward adult collectors.

The original online Hasbro store seems to be up and functioning, with the ability to purchase toys that overlap with Pulse. However, when attempting to click around the Shop Hasbro site, I was met with some pretty cool Loading Spirals.

I don’t think my Optimus is feeling too Prime today.

Hasbro Pulse also comes with a Premium option, which is where the $50 comes into play. This gets you free shipping in the continental US, access to flash sales, and convention goodies and merchandise exclusives.

Hasbro Pulse is leaning into something very interesting. Even the way the site looks follows models of ‘cool collecting’ put in place by sites like Super7 and NECA Toys. That dark layout and exciting photography is enough to get consumers pumped and hyped on their money disappearing via new Power Ranger toys and Star Wars vintage.

Are you excited for Hasbro Pulse? Is it a website and service you will utilize? Do you have thoughts about that $50 enrollment fee? How much Hasbro do you think one has to consume before that fee is justified?

  1. If you buy something on the new site before February 23rd 2019 you are enrolled for the rest of the year on Pulse Premium. Good way to try before you renew for Jan 1 2020.

  2. Whoever wrote this has no business writing any kind of article anywhere. There is no “enrollment fee” to use the site. The fee is ONLY if you want the premium membership perks, and even for that, you can order anything before the 23rd and get the premium membership for all of 2019 for free. Otherwise, you can shop the site just fine without paying anything extra to do so.

    • Right, which is why the person who wrote this included the image supplied on Hasbro’s website that stated the rules of the premium OPTION. No where was it stated by the writer that the ONLY WAY FOR ENTRY was by paying a fee. However, you can’t deny that there is, within the options, a $50 fee for premium. Thanks for reading!

    • Plus, you must have missed this line:
