Storm Collectibles Releases Mortal Kombat Baraka Figure (And Poses Him With a Character We Can’t Have)

I’m going to kvetch a little and start off by saying that Storm Collectible’s images of this amazing new statue are too dark. There, I said it.

This Baraka action figure from the smash hit franchise Mortal Kombat is available now and retailing for $70. And really, I am so happy that Mortal Kombat figures are currently available and collectible. I adore this franchise and it is, without question, my favorite fighting game franchise of all time.

However, Storm Collectibles pulls a cruel and hurtful trick on us when they do the coolest thing imaginable– they pose the Baraka figures with this seriously mind blowing Scorpion figure. Mid-fight, Baraka’s claw shoots out of his torn skin, right into Scorpion’s throat for a battle-worthy Fatality. Blood spurting, face wild with demise, and the confident stance of an opponent ready to fall to his knees.

But the Scorpion figure is a 2016 release. And it is all kinds of completely sold out.

Why do you do this to us, Storm Collectibles?

The Baraka figure will be out during the second quarter of 2019.

From Storm Collectible’s Website:

BARAKA led the attack against Liu Kang’s Shaolin Temple and he belongs to a nomadic race of mutants living in the waste-lands of the Outworld. Baraka fighting skills gained the attention of Shao Kahn who recruited him into his army. As a kontestant in the Mortal Kombat tournament, he will ensure his emperor’s claim to Earthrealm.
