Toy Wizards Review: Kamen Rider (The Diner)

Kamen Rider: The Diner is a themed restaurant in Ikebukuro Tokyo. As the name states, it’s devoted to Kamen Rider, a tokusatsu television and movie series in japan since 1971 created by the legendary Shotaro Ishinomori.

It’s not personally my first time here, but this is a must-see restaurant. The diner has a new time limit of two hours and a mandatory 500 yen charge per person. I was told these where introduced because of large groups hanging out all day and night buying one drink.

The TV monitors play intros from the many series, as well as action clips (and of course commercials) for the next hit Kamen Rider movie. The menu and drinks are very themed and change out every season as we get a new rider. There are multiple displays as well as a full size Shocker Throne for photo ops.

New on this visit was a Shocker beer mug that you can buy separately at the gift shop. A great time and atmosphere to be had.
